The Trackside Story

I began watching Nascar in the late ’80s and was a huge Dale Sr. fan. After purchasing my first piece of die-cast in 1990, I was hooked! Now at over 200 pieces, my collection has grown quite a bit.

My wife and I always dreamed of opening a Nascar store, but the dream wasn't fully realized until 2022. It all started in 2005 when we met JP Vandell at JP's Nascar Store. Becoming good friends from the start, we would stop in to see JP every time we went to Tennessee. We stopped in for one of our regular visits in the summer of 2022 and that's when JP told us he was going to retire. At that moment, we knew that this was the time to get our store onto the track! JP and his wife became business mentors with their advice on opening a store.

We had big dreams from the start and reached out to Lionel Racing to become an official dealer.  In December 2022, we opened our store, Trackside Nascar Outlet. Stop by and check out our small-town store with a big inventory.

"Come as a customer, leave as a friend" - a motto of JP's and one we strive to live by every day in our store.
